6 COST FRIENDLY NATURAL SELF CARE TIPS

March 4, 2022
While “Self Care” can turn “Self Centered” and “Self-ish” vs doing it’s job of re-juvinating and adding balance to all the things we do for everybody else, we don’t need to over-burden any one’s budget to do something enjoyable for us!

A – PLUG IN YOUR PLAYLIST

Listening to your favorite songs does wonders! Put together anything you used to play 17 times in a row as a teenager, something that takes you back to that special summer concert or at least something that puts a little be-bop into cleaning up the kitchen & pantry.

B – SPEND TIME WITH LOVED ONES:

When your soul’s gas tank is on empty, reserve time for hangin out together because nothing fills that tank up faster. Ten times out of Ten it becomes a 2 for 1 “I care break” as you each head back to life with a lighter load and brighter outlook.

C- TIDY UP THE EMPTY CALORIES:

Trimming the fat, trims the budget PLUS a couple lbs. How simple is that?!! Trimming means taking a pinch off here and a tid bit off there, trading a little of this for a little of that till it all adds up to equal the most nutrients bang for your buck. It becomes quite an entertaining venture. Out of all the natural products out there, the most important are the ones that fuel your energy tank.

D- MOISTURIZERS

A natural way to help dry itchy sin is reducing the effects of dry heat. (By humidifying the air, turning the hot water shower tap to lukewarm and switching out hand soap for the non-scented, moisturizing types). A face wash doesn’t need to be a brand name to contain vitamins A, B-2, E & B-12. A store knock off brand or a dollar store’s version all contain labels to let you know if it’s a gem. Same with Detox Mask, follow the ingredients. Green tea leaves or charcoal is what draws out impurities. Whether you find a DIY recipe you like or order something online, a little goes a super long way and the online store prices trump heading to the mall.

E- A PEDICURE KIT

…At a fraction of the cost of a local mall pedicure and you don’t have to wait for a scheduled appointment. You get to keep the necessary tools for the next 179 of them to boot. The key is to create the environment like they do, pre-soak the nails like they would, spend as much time as they spend (not sandwiched in between an appointment and a to do list). Take care of the rest of each foot’s skin issues like they insist on and apply a moisturizer or massage like they would.

If you can do this for the men of the household who are far too pedi-neglectful, you’ll save podiatrist bills that the neglect turns into.

F- HYDRATION

Every part of our body needs hydration to function correctly, our heart, blood, skin, organs, you name it. Staying hydrated combats chronic and terminal illness. It greatly assists mental & cognitive health challenges. Being that essential, the following are cost saving natural sources of hydration for those fighting to guzzle water.
